  • Created to help employees figure out health benefits, HealthJoy raises $30 million

    HealthJoy, a platform designed to make it easier for employees to use their healthcare benefits, has raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Health Velocity Capital. Returning investors also participated, including U.S. Venture Partners, Chicago Ventures, Epic Ventures, Brandon Cruz and Clint Jones. This brings HealthJoy’s total funding so far to $53 million.

  • Safari will soon reject any HTTPS certificate valid for more than 13 months

    Last week, at the 49th CA/Browser Forum, a voluntary consortium of certification authorities, Apple announced that it’ll stop allowing HTTPS certificates on Safari with more than 13 months of validity, later this year. HTTPS certificates, based on the latest TLS encryption standards, ensure that your connection to a particular website is safe and secure. Any certificate issued after September 1, with more than 398 days of validity, will be rejected by Apple‘s browser. That means, when you visit a site with such a certificate, you’ll see a privacy warning.   • 7-year-old Simone Lim is Oceania's adorable new Pokémon champion

    Simone Lim is the very best, like no-one ever was, and now the adorable seven-year-old Pokémon trainer has a championship title to prove it. The Pokémon Oceania International Championships were held in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend, with the finals for all divisions taking place on Sunday. Pokémon trainers from all over the world gathered to test themselves in video and card game tournaments, fighting for glory, honor, and a modest cash prize.  This year, the highlight of the tournament was the exciting Junior Championships grand final for Pokémon Sword and Shield, in which Singaporean trainer and relative newcomer Simone Lim made an incredible read to win both the title and everyone's hearts.
